National Titles - Queensland 2019

National Titles - Queensland 2019

The National Radio Controlled Yacht Titles will be held in Queensland in early 2019.  It is now time to begin planning and organising for this significant event.

Over the coming weeks and months the QRYA Management Committee will schedule tasks required to;

  1. Finalise the venue and dates
  2. Form an Event Management Committee (EMC)
  3. Establish an event plan and schedule

This is an opportunity for Queensland sailors to compete at National level without travelling far, but it is also an opportunity to participate as a volunteer.  This event requires a collection of skills and expertise not available in any one club or venue.

If you plan to compete in one class, consider offering your services as a volunteer for other classes, or as part of the EMC.  If you are not competing and may have some time to offer back to your sport please consider that now.   Opportunities to register your interest will be available to you in the near future.

For those interested in competing and or volunteering, please keep your calendars open for dates to be fixed in February 2019.

Calendar Update - 18th Aug

The Events Calendar for 2018 was released by the Events Coordinator yesterday.  The contents have been loaded into the interactive calendar on the QRYA website and a PDF version linked.

The calendar can be accessed in the following ways.

  1. Quick reference - Home page bottom RHS shows a small version.
  2. Details - Home page  'Event Calendar' menu (top of part of screen) shows a larger version for details.
  3. PDF version - Home page 'QLD Events Calendar' link in 'Important Documents' section LHS of screen.

A useful feature of the large display in the details view is the 'Agenda' tab (top RH of calendar) which lists events in chronological order if needed.  In time links will be found there to information about the event including location.  All views can be printed out.  Clubs who use Google Calendar can link events to their website calendars as can individuals.

As new versions of the calendar are released over the next few months, the website will be updated immediately.  We hope you find this useful for your planning your sailing.
